I'm reminded a bit of those old Timex Torture Test TV ads from the 60's "It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' ". You have been dealt a pretty lousy hand these three or so years but you maintain perspective on the whole thing. It's your sense of humor that helps you to overcome this...
Holy crap! It certainly does seem like you’ve had enough lessons in adversity for one lifetime. Glad you still have the use of your brain and fingers. One would think a list of how to live simply/minimally would have less than 22 items!
And every time you write about your lovable pup’s walking demands, my gratitude for my giant pit-mix’s relatively minimal needs. In fact, he could write a simpler list of how to live simply.
