Nothing breaks like a heart
I have to get this off my chest. Nothing breaks like a heart, and my heart is hurting this morning. It is hard to get and up and try to be cheerful when there is so much darkness in the world today.
Like the ongoing murder and maiming of over 100,000 Palestinians in the cruel bloodbath and genocide perpetrated by that evil motherfucker Netanyahu, who is propped up with money and guns and bombs of the most evil empire just south of our border.
But let’s not stop with murders in a foreign land. Let’s pound the drums of hatred until schoolgirls commit the assault and eventual murder of Nex Benedict. Nex who? I will always seek beauty and love and humour because that is my nature, and is the part of life I love. Like Big Thief says I was born for loving you.
But for a few minutes, I have to pause and honour the bravery of people like Julian Assange, and Nex Benedict. And also those who bring us these stories.
